About the Role

In EMEA Payroll Accounting Analyst role, you'll oversee payroll accounting in Germany, with potential expansion over time to other countries. You'll handle month/quarter/year-end close processes, control payroll accounts, and resolve discrepancies. What are your responsibilities

  • Oversee end-to-end payroll accounting process in Germany, and potentially in other countries in the future
  • Execute month/quarter/year-end close payroll accounting processes to ensure timely and accurate financial close reports preparation
  • Control general ledger payroll accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, and journal entries
  • Resolve month/quarter/year-end discrepancies to maintain clean balances
  • Closely partner with payroll, finance, chief accountant, and third-party payroll vendor
  • Provide backup for payroll analysts, and payroll accounting analysts as appropriate
  • Proactively identify end-to-end payroll accounting process optimization opportunities
  • Participate in implementing quality and control requirements
  • Participate in various project including Magellan Project aiming to implement SAP S/4 HANA system in EMEA
  • Adhere to global / local corporate policies, statutory, regulatory, and legal requirements, GAAP principles, SOX, Corporate Audit & Compliance, Ethical, and Quality standards
  • Comply with Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and Operational Performance Indicators (OPI’s) as defined by GBS
  • Prepare, update, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)

What are we looking for in you

  • Min. bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
  • 3+ years of professional accounting experience that demonstrates the necessary skills and knowledge
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of financial, HR, and payroll systems like SAP S/4 HANA, SuccessFactors, and SD Worx Accurat HCM
  • Solid understanding of key payroll and payroll accounting business processes
  • Proven ability to act with integrity and professionalism while building credibility with diverse stakeholders
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic work environment
  • Demonstrated adaptability with a capacity to effectively respond to evolving business needs in a fast-paced setting
  • Problem solving and analytical skills, with great attention to detail
  • Literacy in Office 365 in particular very good Excel skills
  • Professional working proficiency language skills in English.
