Key job responsibilities
As a HPC Solutions Architect (SA), you will be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for designing solutions that leverage AWS services enable and optimize workload key performance indicators. As part of the Specialist Solutions Architecture team, you will work closely with the other Specialist SAs to enable large-scale customer use cases and drive the adoption of AWS for HPC. You will interact with other SAs in the field, providing guidance on their customer engagements, and you will develop white papers, blogs, reference implementations, and presentations to enable customers and partners to fully leverage HPC on AWS. You will also create field enablement materials for the broader SA population, to help them understand how to integrate AWS solutions into customer architectures.You must have deep technical experience working with technologies related to HPC, such as high-speed I/O (storage, networking), processing (including GPU accelerators), and code customization to exploit underlying hardware. A strong engineering, physics, computer science or mathematics, background is preferred, in addition to experience helping customers architect enterprise grade solutions. You will be familiar with the ecosystem of software, and hardware, vendors in the HPC space. You must have the ability to leverage this knowledge to help AWS customers in their software selection process.This position requires that the candidate selected must currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph. The position further requires the candidate to opt into a commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform AWS work.About the team

- Bachelor's degree
- 3+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience
- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph.

- Experience working with end user or developer communities
- 5+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
- Experience in a technical role within a sales organization
- Understanding of deep learning training and inference workloads and requirements for high performance compute, network and storage
- 5+ years building or optimizing computational applications for large scale HPC systems (e.g. physics based simulations) to take advantage of high performance networking (e.g. Amazon EFA, Infiniband, RoCE), distributed parallel filesystems (e.g. Lustre, BeeGFS, GPFS) and accelerators (e.g. GPUs, custom-silicon)
