Financial Analyst, Financial Services Risk Management, (Structured Finance - Transactions) - Financial Services Office (Manager) (Multiple Positions) (1648569), Ernst & Young U.S. LLP, Houston, TX.
Analyze financial information and advise clients on issues facing the financial services sector, focusing on structured finance. Focus on evaluating and comparing the relative quality and risks associated with various securities, including asset-backed securities (ABS), commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS), residential mortgage-backed securities (RMBS), and collateralized loan obligations (CLO). Conduct loan document review and data reviews on loan files, recalculating fields on data tapes and run exception reports to tie out with clients. Create collateral stratification tables used for assessing loan pool characteristics. Perform cash flow modeling on deals to tie out to clients’ loan amortization tables and bond analytics. Draft Engagement Letters, Proposals and Agreed upon Procedures Reports which detail due diligence, cash flow modeling and deal structuring.
Full time employment, Monday – Friday,40-45 hours per week, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate related work experience. Alternatively, must have a Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field and 4 years of related work experience.
Must have 4 years of Structured Finance transaction experience in the Financial Services industry.
Must have 4 years of experience in banking/capital markets at a commercial bank or comparable experience working as a consultant in a financial services company.
Must have 4 years of combined experience in at least 2 of the following requirement:
- Transaction issuance knowledge of fixed income products including CLO, ABS, RMBS, or CMBS and related real estate finance experience;
- Risk management, front office, or securitization related activities within Banking Capital Markets; or
- Structured Finance cash flow modeling experience
Must have at least 3 years of experience in asset file review, collateral stratification/analysis, bond analytics, securitization offering document review and/or other related securitization compliance reviews and at least 1 year of experience in the preparation of Agreed-Upon Procedures reports.
Must have 2 years of experience supervising and managing a team of consulting professionals.
