Job Description

U.S. Bank is seeking the position of Senior Software Engineer - Mobile in Irving, TX. Multiple openings.

Essential Responsibilities:

The Senior Software Engineer – Mobile works in the native mobile technologies’ domain and is responsible for all the processes, all the delivery steps from concept to building to testing and deploying – and ultimately how it all comes together in the UI. Specific duties include:

  • Designing, developing, testing, operating and maintaining products.
  • Taking full stack ownership by consistently writing production-ready and testable code.
  • Creating optimal design adhering to architectural best practices; considers scalability, reliability and performance of systems/contexts affected when defining technical designs.
  • Making sound design/coding decisions keeping customer experience in the forefront.
  • Working with iOS Native mobile applications for iPhone and iPad using Objective C and Swift interoperability and performing GraphQL and RestAPI integration on iOS applications.
  • Implementing user interfaces, features, and enhancements using UIKIt, SpriteKit and Swift UI for captivating and interactive visual experiences.
  • Conducting thorough unit testing using XCTest or similar frameworks (e.g., XCUITest, cucumber automation framework) to ensure high-quality, bug-free code.
  • Utilizing speech recognition capabilities to enable voice-based interactions within applications.
  • Working with agile software development lifecycle and DevOps principles.
  • Applying complete understanding of an Android feature, the users impacted, the flows impacted and feature’s purpose.

Basic Qualifications:

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Computer Engineering and 5 years of related (progressive, post-baccalaureate) experience working on enterprise mobile applications.

Required Skills/Experience:
Must have 60 months of experience with each of the following: 1) Working with iOS Native mobile applications for iPhone and iPad using Objective C and Swift interoperability and performing GraphQL and RestAPI integration on iOS applications. 2) Implementing user interfaces, features, and enhancements using UIKIt, SpriteKit and Swift UI for captivating and interactive visual experiences. 3) Conducting thorough unit testing using XCTest or similar frameworks (e.g., XCUITest, cucumber automation framework) to ensure high-quality, bug-free code. 4) Utilizing speech recognition capabilities to enable voice-based interactions within applications. Must also have at least three years of experience in native Android development. Employer will accept experience gained concurrently.
