The Business Manager provides full leadership and supervisory responsibility. Provides operational/service leadership and direction to team(s). Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge through provision of value-added perspectives or advisory services. May contribute to the development of new techniques, models and plans within area of expertise. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required. Generally has responsibility for volume, quality, timeliness of end results and shared responsibility for planning and budgets. Work affects an entire area, which eventually affects the overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function/job family. Full supervisory responsibility, ensuring motivation and development of team through professional leadership to include duties such as performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary and terminations as well as direction of daily tasks and responsibilities.

The role is responsible for smooth and efficient day to day operations, enabling Country Technology Heads to focus on providing horizontal oversight and governance representation for all Technology areas in-country including CIO and CISO.
ResponsibilitiesSupport the International Cluster and Country Technology Heads to align to the new organizational model; provide support as required to help Cluster and Country Technology Heads navigate the new structure and deliver on their roles and responsibilities.
Prepare presentations and other documentation as required by the Country Technology Head including but not limited to country entity Board meetings, Country Coordinating Committee (CCC) and IT management forums as required by regulators.
Own agendas and action logs for forums that the Country Technology Head chairs. Prepare minutes and follow-up actions as required.
Coordinate response to any local regulator requests, working in partnership with global teams to ensure appropriate and consistent responses.
Monitor the country Technology book of work, including maintaining comprehensive view of inflight initiatives including RAG status, path to green (for Amber or Red initiatives) and provide reporting as required.
Support annual investment planning and prioritization process, working in partnership with both business and Technology teams to ensure local regulatory initiatives are socialized, estimated, and prioritized.
Oversee limited headcount approvals and hiring for Cluster and Country Technology teams as required, in line with agreed plan and budget.
Manage local visits by global Technology stakeholders including agenda, logistics and communication events (e.g., fireside chats, town halls, etc.).
Partner with the global Technology Business Execution teams to drive communication, culture and engagement initiatives as required.
Identify process improvement or simplification opportunities and ensure that established guidelines / policies are adhered to.
Provide ad hoc analysis as deemed necessary, working with the multiple stakeholders in various functions including Human Resources, Finance, etc.
Field a variety of requests from different stakeholders always ensuring timely and accurate responses.
5+ years’ relevant experience in a Business Execution role or similar in Technology, preferably within the financial services industry
Experience working in a large and complex, highly matrixed organizations
Highly proficient in the Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word
Stakeholder management – experience working with and managing multiple senior stakeholders
Influencing – able to influence outcomes without necessarily direct authority; experienced navigating large complex organizations to achieve results
Superior communication – able to clearly articulate complex strategies / techniques and ideas, in both oral and written form, to senior management, with associated confidence.
Execution oriented – doesn’t remain in the theoretical; is able to make choices / decisions in the name of delivering rapid business impact
Strong storytelling skills – able to structure and prepare presentations and other documentation with a clear and cohesive storyline
Project management – ability to lead cross functional teams towards a common vision
Organized – can juggle multiple, potentially competing priorities with assurance
Detail oriented – obsessed with quality
Self-motivated and accountable – demonstrated ability to follow through to execution
Adaptable and flexible – comfortable working under ambiguous, changing conditions

Degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Organization Management, or a related field
