In this role, you will:
- Support a variety of operational tasks for simple or routine securities
- Identify ways to improve the overall process
- Perform routine duties such as processing, reconciling transaction and research inquires
- Regularly receive direction from supervisor and escalate issues to more experienced roles
- Review less complex documents
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
- Interact with internal customers
- Receive direction from leaders and exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
- Assign all Credit Margin and Priority Credit Line tasks accurately and on a timely basis
- Process all Credit Margin and Priority Credit Line tasks independently
- To be able to perform basic tasks like reviewing account activity, reviewing reports, and meeting established deadlines
- Perform moderately complex duties such as processing, researching inquires and reconciling transactions
- To be able to process all Margin Agreements, Executing Preferred Interest Rates, Facilitate Employee Stock Option Plan Transactions, Account Restriction Management, Monitoring Day Trade Activity and Bulk Asset Movements
- To be able to follow-up assertively with various external parties.
- Interaction with market participants like custodian, clearing house, brokers, Investment Managers to gather process/product related information
Required Qualifications:
- 6+ months of Security Operations experience, or equivalent experience demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- securities/Custody/Investmentbanking experience preferably on Credit Margin and Priority Credit Line
- Basic understanding of US Securities market
- Understands the basics of capital markets and various products like what is a mutual fund, bonds, what is a stock/equity, etc.
- Attention to detail and comprehension skills
- Commerce Graduate with CA/CFA/ICW/M.com /MBA preferably in Finance vertical
- Good problem solving and analytical skills and numerical skills
- Typing Skills / Good Communication (Read / Write / Speak)
- Desirable to have experience of interacting with US customers.
