Job Description
U.S. Bank is seeking the position of ETL Data Engineer (multiple positions) in Brookfield, WI.
Essential Responsibilities:
• Perform the ETL (Extraction, Transformation, and Loading) for data processing to build the pipeline that will connect raw data to the repository for analysis.
• Develop Spark SQL and Spark code to improve data frames to improve optimization and performance.
• Support multiple development teams in the production, installation, configuration, and maintenance of applications.
• Consider scalability, reliability, and performance of systems/contexts affected when defining technical designs.
• Assist in integration testing by designing test cases and migrating code to respective environments.
• Identify and evaluate industry trends in database systems to serve as a source of information for business and engineering teams.
Basic Qualifications:
Position requires a Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, and 2 years of experience as a Software Developer or in a related occupation.
Required Skills/Experience:
Experience must include 2 years of experience with each of the following:
(1) Designing ETL and reporting solutions.
(2) Building modules for data warehousing projects.
(3) Scheduling and monitoring data integration systems.
(4) SQL, Informatica, Apache Spark, and Cassandra.
(5) Hadoop, Hive, Jenkins, Kafka, and Python.
