DESCRIPTION

As a Sr. SoC Modeling Engineer, you will be part of a pre-silicon platform team responsible for delivering SW models of custom SoCs for use in architectural exploration and early SW development. In this role, you will be responsible for architecting, building and debugging modeling environments for both custom in-house IPs and SoCs. You will own the design, build, test and delivery of these models.Key job responsibilities
You will work closely with multi-disciplinary groups including Product Architecture, Audio Technology, Computer Vision, Hardware Engineering, and Software Engineering, to define solutions that enable development of world-class hardware devices. In this role, you will:- Architect SW models of HW IP and SoCs that can be used to determine both function and performance
- Define methodologies that allow early performance and power modeling and ease of reuse across all pre-silicon platforms
- Implement and test SW models (SystemC C/C++ )
- Define workloads and tune models to produce actionable performance metrics

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor’s degree or higher in EE, CE, or CS
- 7+ years experience in SW modeling of HW using SystemC / C++ & TLM2.0
- 7+ years experience of HW architectural performance analysis using modeling
- Flow automation experience with Perl / Python / tcl / bash
- Good understanding of embedded SW running on both bare metal and Linux
- Must have good communication and analytical skills
- Should be able to work closely with design teams and software teams across multiple sites


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience leading design verification and validation efforts for new SoCs
- Experience with RTL design and software development
- Have in depth knowledge of entire SoC development process from requirements through specification, design, verification, and validation
