You will manage software development engineers and security engineers to develop innovative security solutions at an unprecedented scale. Our services protect the AWS cloud for all customers and preserve our customer’s trust in us. You will get to use the full power and breadth of AWS technologies to build services that empower our incident response team, protecting every single AWS customer from security threats.As a security leader, you will (a) lead by example, innovate and solve security challenges at a massive scale, (b) orchestrate strategy and direction, roadmap planning, and project execution scheduling, (c) hire, build and manage a cross-functional engineering team, and (d) foster strong team culture.Key job responsibilities
You will directly manage a team of software developers working to deliver technology solutions to internal customers within Amazon Security. You will work in conjunction with another SDM as well as a Technical Program Manager (TPM) and a Product Manager - Technical (PMT). - 2+ years of engineering team management experience
- 5+ years of working directly within engineering teams experience
- 3+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- 2+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
- Master's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent
- Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
- 2+ years of leading development of applications backed by AWS services or using other cloud based technologies and services experience
- Experience building web applications with React and modern web technologies
- Experience delivering products against plan in a fast-paced, multi-disciplined, distributed-responsibility and often ambiguous environment
