You will be a technical expert in the products and process design for various manufacturing operations. You will ensure product integrity, manufacturing output, and continuous improvements, working daily with design engineering, process engineering, and factory operations.

Our team develops new or improves existing processes and products in the fabrication of microelectronics, pressure, magnetic, and inertial sensors for commercial and military applications. You will determine equipment and tools needed by the team to achieve manufacturing goals according to product specification for existing and new technologies. You will maximize efficiency by analyzing the workflow, assembly methods, and work force utilization. Support daily production activities and drive improvement in a challenging environment.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:• Provide test and manufacturing support for microelectronics, MEMS inertial, magnetic and pressure sensor products at the Honeywell Plymouth, MN facility.
• Perform yield and performance data analysis to monitor process capability, track product health trends, and drive yield improvements. Statistically analyze data to help evaluate and qualify process and product changes.
• Investigate the root cause of technical issues, contain problems to protect customers, and implement corrective actions to resolve them.
• Utilize CAMP, Lean, and Six-Sigma methodologies to govern engineering standard work practices.
• Develop improvements in product design and in the manufacturing and assembly processes for cost and cycle time reductions.
• Assist development of new products and processes.
• Support preventative maintenance plans and capital equipment planning to maintain and achieve factory capacity and efficient product flow. Help execute the factory’s annual operating plan and future factory needs.

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics
• 3+ years of engineering experience
• Due to US export control laws and contractual requirements, must be a US citizen, permanent resident or have protected status.• Product or process engineering experience
• Experience and understanding of wafer fabrication of silicon-based devices
• Ability to work in a cleanroom environment.
• Ability to balance priorities in daily tasks and strategic projects.
• Hands on work ethic. Initiative and ownership of responsibilities and actions.
• Ability to partner and collaborate well with team members across functions.
• Ability to quickly and accurately identify subtle interrelationships and patterns among a variety of problems and issues (process and data correlation of cause/effect across value stream).
