What You'll Do:
  • Primary job responsibilities include the design, development, and debugging of system software related to Cisco UCS servers.
  • Develop, improve, and maintain automation frameworks and test scripts using Python to validate functionality, usability, and performance.
  • Take part in product development in all stages from planning and design to development and testing. Proactive in managing work including meeting schedules, identifying risks, and delivering high-quality products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and design automated test strategies for components and features.
  • Write design specs and test plans. Conduct and take part in peer code reviews, design reviews, and test plan reviews.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, providing timely updates on project progress, challenges, and successes.
  • Bring a mindset of developing simple solutions to complex problems.
Minimum Qualification:
  • Bachelors degree plus 7-10 years of experience OR Masters with 5-7 years in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related major
  • Knowledge of Industry specs like IPMI/iSCSI/SAN/TCP/IP/I2C/PCIE/SMBIOS/ DMTF Redfish etc.
  • Experience with Debug BIOS, OS, hardware, and platform debugging skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Understanding of Networking.
  • Remote manageability knowledge.
  • Strong coding skills with a deep understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git and familiarity with continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
