Principal Auditor, Practices - Methodology


Responsibilities:

  • Support the audit methodology update and related enhancement efforts, including conducting research and analysis

  • Design and execute best-in-class operational processes

  • Deliver verbal and written communication to the audit teams and audit leadership

  • Leverage available data and analytical tools during execution and delivery

  • Serve as a trusted advisor, thought partner, and establish and maintain good relations with audit teams

  • Facilitate training sessions to new auditors in both small and large group formats

Additionally, as part of the broader Audit Practices team, the candidate will:

  • Develop and provide training and coaching to audit team members during the introduction of new methodology, or as part of quality assurance

  • Work independently under general supervision, and can exercise latitude for initiative and independent judgment.

  • Manage through shifting priorities to provide input based on quality findings, regulatory feedback, and auditor feedback

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience

  • At least 4 years of experience in auditing, at least 4 years of experience in accounting, at least 4 years of experience in financial analysis, or a combination

  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Auditing, Master’s Degree in Accounting, Master’s Degree in Information Systems or Master of Business Administration

  • Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), or a relevant certification

  • 2+ years of experience in Banking or in the financial services industry

Charlotte, NC: $106,700 - $121,700 for Principal Auditor McLean, VA: $117,300 - $133,900 for Principal Auditor Plano, TX: $106,700 - $121,700 for Principal Auditor Richmond, VA: $106,700 - $121,700 for Principal AuditorThis role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
