Lead and mentor the SMT process development team, including recruiting, training, and performance management to build a high-performing group
Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement
Oversee daily SMT line operations, ensuring production goals, quality standards (IPC, ESD), and efficiency metrics are consistently met
Drive process improvements in yield, cycle time, and throughput through advanced controls, automation, and best practices
Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions using Six Sigma and Lean methodologies to reduce defects, rework, and downtime
Collaborate cross-functionally with supply chain and procurement teams to ensure material availability and vendor alignment
Deliver data-driven insights and KPI reports on SMT performance and improvement initiatives to leadership
3+ years of experience leading and developing teams in high-volume, fast-paced manufacturing environments
Proven ability to track and improve production performance metrics (efficiency, quality, safety, throughput, cost)
In-depth knowledge of SMT processes, including stencil printing, pick-and-place, reflow soldering, and AOI
Experience with manufacturing execution systems (MES) and leveraging data for decision-making
Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends as needed
