Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of technical engineering experience
    • OR Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field AND 7+ years of technical engineering experience.
    • OR Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field AND 5+ years of technical engineering experience.
    • OR Doctorate degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field AND 3+ years of technical engineering experience.
  • 3+ years of people management experience
  • 3+ years of hardware product developement

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Additional / Preferred Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of technical engineering experience.

  • 4+ years of people management experience.

Responsibilities
  • You will manage a design team responsible for microarchitecture and design of RTL based acceleration IP in FPGAs. Your team will deliver designs and support them through debug, hitting quality metrics, and production.
  • You will manage scope of work and schedules for your team, and provide updates and feedback to the program and management.
  • You will help create innovative design methodologies by collaborating with other engineering teams, communicating how tools and designs work, and influencing quality metrics and processes.
  • You will scrutinize project schedule accuracy, ensure design strategies resolve process gaps, and make design tradeoffs to ensure quality. You’ll coordinate with other design, design verification, and system validaton teams.
  • You will participate in the strategic review process for identifying product risks, monitor project status across multiple teams, and create both standard and customized reports. You’ll also coordinate training and reviews for the team.
