The Impact You’ll Make in this Role.

As a T&D (Truing & Dressing) Operator, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Program and operate T&D equipment to finish product to shop order requirements, prints and drawings.
• Select and set up materials, fixturing and equipment to meet shop order requirements.
• Perform in-process inspections and sign off on inspection sheet.
• Perform general maintenance on machines and equipment and calibrate the machine.
• Select the right grinding wheel for grinding abrasive section.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:

• Possess a High School Diploma/GED or higher (Completed prior to start)
• Interested and available to work first shift (6AM – 4:30PM)

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Experience in a manufacturing, private, public, government or military environment, preferably in non-woven fibers, web coating or a related industry.
• Experience in production grinding/machining experience to perform duties. Operate equipment following department Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs).
• Ability to use basic measuring devices (micrometer, calipers, protractors, etc.) to ensure product meets specifications.
• Ability to understand basic CAD drawings/prints.
• Possess basic computer skills to be able to program into the proprietary T&D interface.
