You will collaborate with the extended account team: Account Manager, Sales Engineering, Solutions Architects, Software and Service Renewal Managers, Service Specialist Premium, CX Delivery, Legal, Finance, and our Partner ecosystem to develop services strategies and drive opportunities to closure.

Your Impact

As an Account Executive Service seller, you will focus on improving new coverage of all technical services in all sales motions: recapture, expansion, never covered/ missed, and point of sale attach. During a renewal, your focus will be on ensuring coverage of the entire estate, specifically looking for missed attach and upsell opportunities while the customers’ budgets are open. You will handle opportunities across a large mix of customer accounts by using data, insights, and analytics derived from our tools and taking direction from the Account Manager and Services Seller Premium and their intrinsic knowledge of the account.

Your primary responsibility will be to partner with your account team and gain your clients’ trust, build new service opportunities, and bring them to closure. In this role, you will engage in all aspects of the Attach and Cover (attaching services to hardware and software purchases) sales motion from opportunity management and pricing to booking by using persuasive communication, data analytics, and contract negotiation skills. You will be tenacious in uncovering opportunities to upsell the attached services. You will drive Core services growth in your assigned regions by strategizing with the Account Manager for joint product/services opportunities and aligning with our channel and distribution partners to position the appropriate set of services. You will be expected to meet or exceed your service sales quota.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • BA/BS degree in technology-related fields or marketing/management or relevant work experience.
  • 1-3+ years of services sales experience in IT or related industry or through channel partners
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of Cisco’s or a competitor’s Services portfolio, especially Core/Technical Services
  • Expertise in Outside-In / Consultative selling
  • Proactive lead generation and pipeline management.
  • Ability to develop positive relationships based on deep understanding of the customer's perspective
