As a Security Engineer Senior, you will be responsible for:

• Improving and automating the vulnerability management lifecycle.
• Providing support for scanning, vulnerability remediation, and leading related projects.
• Analyzing and prioritizing vulnerabilities while recommending effective mitigation strategies.
• Identifying and assessing vulnerabilities specific to Akamai's environment, implementing mitigating controls.
• Ensuring scan results are accurately presented in dashboards, reports, and integrated systems.
• Integrating security tools, standards, and processes into the vulnerability management lifecycle.
• Driving actionable metrics and transparent reporting for operational and leadership insights.
• Utilizing automation and scripting to support scalable vulnerability management operations.

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have understanding of cyber security and vulnerability related concepts like CVE, CVSS, etc
• Have the ability to work with vendors for implementing new configurations and troubleshooting issues on scanning utilities.
• Have knowledge of servers, virtual machines, operating systems, cloud, databases and networking protocols.
• Have the ability to drive, innovate and be accountable for a given task to completion effectively as a team player
