Roles and Responsibilities

  • RFP responses related to construction requirements.
  • Project Management lead in the execution of design/build activities, with cross-functional teams consisting of GE HealthCare suppliers, Sales, Installation Project Managers, Service and our customer project teams.
  • Manage entire design/build proposal process for assigned projects; work closely with the project team to identify customer project requirements and develop scope of work, design drawings, cost estimates, project schedules, proposals, and contract documents to deliver cost effective solutions for design/build services.
  • Customer engagement on construction scope of work, change requests, substantial performance reviews, project closure. Participate in negotiations as required.
  • Provide tracking of GE HealthCare supplier performance, maintain project schedules and budgets and ensure compliance to Quality program requirements as well as meeting local and governmental codes and specs.
  • Focus on safety, working with suppliers for on the job safety inspections.
  • Develop, track and control project budgets, GE HealthCare supplier purchase orders and customer payment - ensuring target expectations are met for each project.Work with Project Management colleagues to ensure rooms are ready for equipment deliveries.
  • Support Accounts Receivable teams on billing and lien holdback processes.
  • Drive customer satisfaction at all phases of proposals and project lifecycle.

Required Qualifications:

  • College or University degree in Commerce (Business Analytics, Business Administration, Operations) and / or Engineering or equivalent related discipline.
  • Minimum five years of project management experience or indirect expertise in multiple lead equipment installation or construction coordinator roles.
  • Demonstrated experience with large scale project management where deadlines were met on or ahead of schedule (eg: construction, equipment/devices installation experience).
  • Demonstrated experience with Environment, Health and Safety programs pertaining to large equipment installation or construction services.
  • Willingness to travel cross provincially including overnight stays when necessary.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Pursuing or Active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Masters in Business Administration or further education in Project Management or Construction Management.
  • Knowledge or experience within the Healthcare industry and GE HealthCare Diagnostic Imaging products.
  • Proficient in Project Management Information Software.
  • Proficient with design tools (Ex. AutoCAD).
  • Six Sigma certification and/or experience in Lean methodology.
  • Bi-lingual proficiency in English / French would be an asset.
