Your key responsibilities
- Provide strategic counsel, both independently and supporting fellow GCO team members, to business leaders and Talent Team professionals that balances risk and EY’s business interests
- Respond to and manage employment-related claims, litigation and workplace investigations
- Proactively monitor and advise relevant teams on changing provincial employment legislation and regulatory compliance requirements
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop Talent-related policies and processes
To qualify for the role, you must have
- 2-4 years of solid employment law experience preferably at a large law firm or employment law boutique
- Professional services related experience would be an asset
- Current knowledge of employment litigation and alternative dispute resolution processes, as well as privilege and discovery rules
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- A professional approach, team player & excellent oral and written English communication skills
- Bilingual applicants are encouraged to apply (proficiency in French is considered an asset, but not required)
