The Solution Lead is responsible for assembling the complete solution scope based on customer requirements obtained during a Service sales pursuit. They are the single point of contact for the account team, leading teams of subject matter experts to deliver full-service documentation (estimates, scope documents, proposals, customer presentations) for qualified services and support opportunities. The Solution Lead is dedicated to rationalizing our approach to ensure it delivers tangible value for the customer and is a win for all involved.

  • Solid and broad architectural understanding of SAP solutions (technical/functional), thinking like a true Business and IT Architect
  • Ability to translate business needs/constraints to SAP Solutions
  • Thought leadership on transformation topics.
  • S/4HANA passion and expertise, ideally in one of the following areas:
    • Intelligent Enterprise
    • Innovation Services
    • Other cloud solutions and integrations

Tasks:

  • Partner with the Account Team in providing advisory, Solutioning leadership, and assistance in selling Services deals
  • Construct competitive deals that provide desired customer business outcomes while achieving SAP’s margin goals
  • Take definitive ownership of the Solutioning process as part of a Services Sales pursuit
  • Assemble, encourage and keep a matrix team of experts accountable to deliver the expected Solutioning results per pursuit
  • Execute stakeholder management, setting and continuously managing expectations throughout the Solutioning process

As part of the Solutioning process, be responsiblefor:

  • Advisory relationship with internal and external customers
  • Positioning and selling solutions in partnership with the Account Team
  • Driving Solutioning and Scoping meetings with the customer
  • Providing customer presentations on implementation approach, scope and estimates
  • Building bridges between different parts of SAP to create one integrated solution for the customer
  • Supporting the proposal approval and Bid Council process, presenting to SAP executive management as needed
  • Accelerate adoption and positioning of strategic topics – e.g., bringing innovation topics like S/4HANA, Software as a Service, Intelligent Enterprise, BTP, RISE into the Opportunity & Delivery processes.
  • Provide thought leadership and ownership of continuous improvement of solutioning processes and collateral
  • Play an active role in the professional development of Solutioning colleagues
  • Generate and own architect practice materials for Solutioning S/4 HANA

Due to the nature of the role, which involves global interactions with SAP entities, as well as with employees and stakeholders in Canada, functional proficiency in English is required for positions based in the Quebec.
