What You’ll Do What You’ll Bring
- Support TFI and feature development across multiple Ubuntu versions to ensure a reliable & secure Linux image
- Create, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to support Linux provisioning across our factories globally
- Implement automated and scalable solutions for a variety of use-cases in manufacturing
- Support and manage our ecosystem of applications
- Develop and manage Ansible playbooks
- Configure PXE-based provisioning workflows
- Enhance and maintain our Observability stack
- Respond effectively to incidents by identifying root causes and developing solutions
- Collaborate with other teams using our Linux image
- Handle preventative maintenance and create documentation on processes and features
- Experience with Virtualization (vSphere) and Containerization (Docker & Kubernetes)
- Expert skills in Linux and its administration (Ubuntu 16.04 – 24.04 LTS)
- Understanding of networking (Routing/Switching, VLANs, Firewalls, and Load Balancers)
- Experience in a high-level language such as Go, Python and/or Java is a plus
- Observability (Prometheus, AlertManager, Grafana, Jaeger, and Splunk)
- Infrastructure as Code (Ansible), CI/CD (GitHub Enterprise/Jenkins) & Artifact management (Artifactory)
- Bare-metal imaging experience (Ubuntu netboot PXE)
- Strong bias for action vs endless planning, willing to get hands dirty and make mistakes sometimes
- Habitual documenter and spreader of knowledge; willing to mentor other team members and engineers with less SWE/IT type knowledge
- Comfortable on an on-call rotation
