About the role:

- Strategic Partnership Development: Build, develop, and strengthen relationships at all levels of OEM accounts—C-suite, business management, marketing, engineering, finance, and procurement—to drive brand advocacy and revenue growth.

- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Operate effectively in a matrixed organization, partnering with internal teams (marketing, product management, finance, legal, etc.) to drive cohesive strategies and deliver results.
- Business Expansion & Innovation: Identify new avenues for growth in consumer and SMB segments and other potential areas for expansion. Employ a hunter (new business) and farmer (existing partnership expansion) mentality.
- Planning & Forecasting: Accurately project and manage business performance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, finance, etc.) to analyze key metrics, identify deviations, and propose corrective strategies.
- Deal Negotiation & Closure: Lead contract discussions and finalize large, complex software and services agreements—balance partner requirements with McAfee’s strategic and financial objectives.
- Industry & Competitive Intelligence: Maintain a deep understanding of cybersecurity trends, competitor offerings, and market dynamics to ensure McAfee’s value proposition remains compelling and competitive.
- High-Impact Presentations: Present McAfee’s solutions and strategic vision in a compelling manner, influencing key stakeholders and decision-makers within partner organizations and within McAfee.
- Travel & Team Meetings: Willingness to travel as required for partner visits, industry events, and internal meetings. Willingness to attend virtual team meetings which may (from time to time) fall outside of normal business hours.
About you:
- 10+ years of PC OEM sales experience in Japan with a history of outstanding performance, ideally in the cybersecurity arena.
- Strong existing C-level and decision-maker contacts at major PC OEMs.
- Demonstrated ability to exceed sales goals and achieve year-over-year growth.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for relationship-building and consultative selling.
- Ability to interpret and manage financial data effectively.
- Comfortable operating at both long-term (strategic) and short-term (tactical) levels, in a “start-up” style environment.
- Proactive, results-driven, and adaptable in a rapidly evolving landscape.
- Fluent in Japanese and English with high proficiency in writing and facilitating small group communications.
