In this role, you will be part of our Men’s Sport Brand Marketing offense in North America, focused on American Soccer, and co-create a new era of sport for today’s athlete. To be successful, you must be a consumer and sport obsessed marketer, a solution-oriented strategic leader, a team-first collaborator, an energy-giving partner, and a brand innovator with an openness to learn. As part of our North America Men’s Brand Management team, you will leverage your deep and authentic understanding of the sport landscape—spanning grassroots, pro athletes and teams—to shape compelling stories and deliver impactful cross-functional marketing. This role will drive functional excellence within the Sport field of play across North America, Global, and key cities.

Reporting directly to the NA Director of Men’s Soccer, you will be responsible for developing brand plans that drive growth and build deeper, lasting relationships with athletes*. Qualified candidates should have experience leading and presenting brand marketing vision, orchestrating full-funnel marketing, and defining and activating seasonal plans. Your leadership should be rooted in a comprehensive grasp of soccer, a passion for innovative solutions that meet athletes’ needs, and the ability to oversee multiple projects within a matrixed organization.

What you will work on

You will partner with our global brand management team, marketing functional partners, and city leaders to bring North America dimension to Brand marketing plans and key consumer concepts including marketing briefs, strategic tools and marketing initiatives that fuel our seasonal initiatives, long-term consumer concepts, and key moments like World Cups.

You will work across global, geo and cities to drive a robust concept map and continually build new consumer experiences that accelerate sport brand and business growth opportunities internally and externally.

As the North America Men’s Sport Lead, you will:

  • Obsess the soccer consumer, youth culture and their needs
  • Translate consumer insights into marketing strategies
  • Build strong marketing plans for Nike Athletes and Products
  • Drive clarity across marketing functions while leading seasonal plans for Soccer
  • Execute marketing activations and consumer experiences
  • Need good understanding of the digital ecosystem
  • Need knowledge of consumer and marketplace trends for soccer
  • Partner with Sports Marketing to elevate athlete storytelling and athlete integration into NA programming and activations
  • Partner with city teams to activate the soccer communities that drive maximum impact and influence
  • Track and manage seasonal campaign progress measurement. Recapping + teardowns.

Who you will work with

As the North America Men’s Soccer Lead, you will be reporting directly into the North America Brand Director of Men’s Soccer.

In partnership with the M/W/K Soccer Team, you will help orchestrate the marketing offense that drives brand storytelling, fuel consumer demand, and build authentic connections with sport communities.

You will collaborate with teammates across Nike to build more effective and efficient ways to connect with Soccer culture and athletes* across the geography.

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or closely related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in brand marketing or related experience with a deep understanding of the sport ecosystem and the elite and everyday athlete
  • Demonstrated genuine passion and deep understanding of culture, fashion, trends and growing the sport across underserved communities
  • Extensive knowledge of the Nike product and athlete portfolio
  • A team-first mentality and ability to influence decision makers
  • Digital first approach with strong initiative and curiosity to cultivate innovation
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to balance creativity with organization and discipline in fast moving, ambiguous environment
