Core Technology Quality Engineers are responsible for driving quality improvement actionson future products. They enable a mass production capable manufacturing processes anddevelop plans to validate / verify new product quality at each development landmark. Theyapproach problems in an engineering method and make data driven decision. QualityEngineers also bring up capable suppliers which can execute at a high level in an ongoingbasis.
- Identify and drive quality improvement opportunities in future products
- Lead Process FMEAs on new technologies and manufacturing processes
- Lead technical Failure Analysis to support root cause analysis and issue resolution
- Generate Product Quality Plan (PQP)
- Establish quality monitoring mechanism which generate meaningful metrics providing indication of outgoing quality at all nodes in supply chain
- Develop/Drive test correlation, metrology systems, sampling methods, cosmetics
- requirements
- Manage quality escalation and issues
- Develop capable supplier that can be both technology and scaling partners
- International Travel is required (up to 25%)
- 3+ years of industry experience in one or more of the following areas:
- product development, enclosures, castings, plastic parts, glass parts,
- injection molding, tooling, jigs, fixtures, or high-volume quality
- manufacturing engineering (e.g. Automotive, Consumer Electronics,
- Medical Devices, etc)
- BS in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or equivalent
- MS/MBA in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or equivalent
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Mandarin language
- skills are a plus but not required
- Finance/business acumen (understand cost drivers and derive costs associated with
- managing quality)
- Reliability methods and quality sampling methodologies
- Third party production quality & process management experience
- Experience working with customers
- Project management experience
