Our Energy & Resources consulting practice is seeking to recruit talented and high-performing professionals who can draw on their industry or consulting energy sector experience to help clients transform.

Your key responsibilities

• Bring understanding of current and emerging energy sector client challenges and a leading technology point of view of how these can be met, to support client engagements and business development
• Build internal and external relationships and engage in the bidding process to support business development and growth of our Energy and Resources practice in Greece and abroad.
• Work in complex projects for private and public electricity, gas and water companies across the industry’s value chain in Greece and the region
• Monitor and analyze key market changes and trends in terms of energy retail, networks, regulation, digital and innovation etc.

Skills and attributes for success

• Understanding of key energy business economics
• Discuss examples of working on complex programs of work
• Showcase examples of when working concurrently with multiple stakeholders and demanded to organize and operate under time pressure

To qualify for the role you must have

• Academic background in Engineering, Business, Technology or Science (Physics/ Mathematics)
• At least 4-6 years of professional working experience
• Professional experience in positions with exposure to clients and/or other external stakeholders. Ideally there would be experience in addressing clients at upper management level.
• Excellent verbal and writing skills in English and Greek
• Fluency in use of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Power Point)
• Very good analytical skills and a creative approach to problem solving
• Ability to work in teams

There would be working and/or academic knowledge and understanding in one or more of the following indicative areas:

• End to end customer experience, meter to cash processes and behind the meter services
• Business process redesign
• Energy supply management and wholesales markets
• Energy networks (power, pipe gas, LNG) sizing & cost benefit analysis.
• Design and/or implementation of technology & digital transformation initiatives
• Energy transition programs focusing on alternative energy sources and relevant green technologies focusing on decarbonization (RES, hydrogen will be highly appreciated)

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Postgraduate degree on energy, management, finance or IT from a well-established university in Greece or abroad
• Previous experience in a reputable consulting firm or alternatively Energy Retailer, Energy Regulator, Transmission/Distribution Operator, Technical company – will be a strong asset
• Previous experience and knowledge of technology systems or platforms in Energy and Resources sector such as Billing, CRM, ERP, business processes improvement, energy markets modelling and data intelligence/reporting platforms – will be a strong asset

You’ll need to thrive in picking up new skills and talents as you go, so natural curiosity, a lot of questions and the confidence to speak up when you see something that could be improved are essential.
