Provides support to the Manufacturing Engineering organization to facilitate efficient operations within the production area, to optimize existing processes, and to ensure that production goals are met. Monitors performance of equipment, machines and tools and corrects equipment problems or process parameters that produce non-conforming products, low yields or product quality issues. Interfaces with Quality and Process Development to integrate new products or processes into the existing manufacturing area.

Responsibilities

  • Provides engineering support to the production unit within the Manufacturing Area.
  • Works closely with engineering team to assist in yield and other technical investigations to root cause and resolution.
  • Supports quality issues and investigations.
  • Will be required to develop strong problem solving skills for technical problems in the area, solves or assists in solving problems from basic engineering principles, theories and concepts. Understands engineering principles theories, concepts, practices and techniques.
  • Develops Strong documentation skills to process Validation documentation to procedural requirements.
  • Responsible for executing equipment installation, set up and validation and process validations in line with BSC procedural requirements.
  • Ability to Interact cross functionally and with internal and external customers. Potential to travel to external vendors or other BSC manufacturing sites
  • Working with colleagues to design, develop, debug, modify, and applications, systems and electronic fixturing by using current tools, analysis techniques, and technologies.
  • Ability to own and report on current project and timelines on a regular basics

Requirements:

  • Bachelors Honours (Level 8) Degree in a Technical Discipline (Science, Biomedical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, etc.
  • Must have graduated within the last two years or in final year of University
  • Relevant work experience/ co-op programme completed.
  • Eligible to work in Ireland
  • Communication Skills
  • The successful candidate must be a self-starter with the ability to work on own initiative, while possessing strong team player characteristics.
