Drive Optimal Strategic Access for Teva Products:

  • Account lead within Teva to develop RFP response for the targeted customers, manages process and communication beginning with customer request and concluding with signed contract
  • Represents respective account in Pricing Committee and other pricing and contracting discussions
  • Assesses contract performance and proactively provides input/insights to all relevant Teva colleagues
  • Identifies opportunities that support profitability.
  • Collaborates with V&A, sales and brand leadership to optimize pull and push through efforts.
  • Provide visibility and understanding of national account structure and formulary placement to ensure clarity across commercial organization.
  • Informs of account developments, strategic initiatives, areas for growth, and appropriate assessment of risk
  • Demonstrates a strong understanding of pricing implications and downstream impact of the evolving public policy, government, regulatory landscape and other relevant trends
  • Identifies and builds a broad network of key stakeholders and decision makers at all levels, including C-suite, within customer account(s) in order to develop and sustain impactful business-relevant relationships
  • Fueled by and experienced in managing people with a lens to expanding portfolio
  • Formulary verification
  • Identify contracting opportunities and drive contract negotiations to ensure optimum value
  • Deliver value proposition presentations and coordinates clinical discussions
  • Deliver effective promotion to convert the identified opportunity

Work Cross Functionally with Downstream Account Teams and Relevant Stakeholders:

  • Internally, this position has the responsibility of engaging and coordinating with all appropriate Teva functions in driving access and developing solutions for the targeted customer.
  • Key collaboration partners include the entire Value & Access & Government Affairs Team, Pricing, Contracting, Operations and Reimbursement, VEO, Marketing, Commercial Sales, and Legal & Compliance.
  • This role is responsible for cultivating and sustaining strong relationships with key account personnel, including C-suite executives and department leadership. Additionally, this role maintains strategic partnerships with external associations, organizations, and patient support partners.
  • Independently represents the National Accounts Team in all engagements with aligned regional accounts, driving bottom-up influence to support formulary decisions
  • Proactively build and nurture relationships across regional offices and affiliated entities
  • Provides strategic direction and operational guidance to the regional accounts team and other relevant departments within Teva to support effective contracting and pull-through execution
  • Leadership of cross-functional Value & Access teams in order to ensure the strategy is executed within brand & financial guidelines.
  • Provide regular updates on account access positions, financial impacts, and performance to Teva leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Responsible for gaining alignment & approval across Market Access Leadership, Pricing & Contracting, and Brand & Payer Marketing.
  • Identify key stakeholders including decision making and influencing network
  • Develop / maintain relationships with key decision-making roles and leadership

Evolve Customer Engagement Strategy and Approach:

  • Expands relationship with customers that goes creatively beyond formulary access
  • Demonstrates a deep understanding of customer strategies and consistently seek opportunities to create mutually beneficial solutions
  • Assembles and coordinates in-house functions, providing cohesive strategy while developing solutions for the customer

Applies expert knowledge of therapeutic landscapes to support impactful engagement :

  • Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of targeted disease states and their broader impact on patients, healthcare providers, institutions, payers, and accounts.
  • Effectively articulates the role of therapies within the treatment continuum, including appropriate utilization and alignment with clinical guidelines
  • Proactively leverages in depth knowledge of Teva’s portfolio and relevant competitor offerings to strategically position and differentiate Teva products in alignment with customer and patient needs
  • Effectively communicates relevant clinical data to internal stakeholder, influencers and customer decision makers ensuring clarity, accuracy, and strategic alignment.

Creates and Implements strategic Business Plans:

  • Leverages deep understanding of Market Access objectives and customer insights to develop a comprehensive multi-year business plan. This, includes contracting and engagement strategies aimed at achieving defined goals.
  • Continually evaluates contract performance while demonstrating a strong understanding of pricing dynamics and downstream implications of evolving public policy, government regulations and broader industry trends
  • Monitors and evaluates account(s), key markets/clients, and business plan performance based on established qualitative and quantitative measurements
Your experience and qualifications

Any equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience that fulfills the requirements of the position will be considered.

Education/Certification/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, Advanced business or pharmacy degree preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years in pharmaceutical industry with a significant portion of time in customer-facing roles with proven success.
  • Value & Access/Market Access experience with supported understanding of healthcare delivery system including various payer types and economic drivers
    Account Management, Sales Management, and/or Payer Marketing experience
  • People leadership preferred

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

  • Demonstrates the ability to work independently and make appropriate decisions regarding accounts.
  • Demonstrates excellent communication skills and the ability to respond quickly and effectively to customers.
  • Strong data analytical skills with the ability to assess disparate data sources to make clear recommendations on business strategy.
  • Demonstrates professionalism and enthusiasm.
  • Maintains and motivates others with a positive attitude and proven leadership skills.
  • Demonstrates excellent organization skills.
  • Knowledge of Regional and National Commercial Payers, Medicaid, Medicare, and GPOs
  • Understanding of Medical, Pharmacy, and Specialty Pharmacy Channels, preference for innovative and biosimilar experience


TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

  • Approximately up to 30% domestic travel throughout the US.

  • Perform activities such as computer work, preparing and analyzing data, and extensive reading.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

  • May be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed on site visits (i.e. safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, etc.).
Compensation Data

The annual starting salary for this position is between $184,240-$241,815 annually. Factors which may affect starting salary within this range and level of role may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
