who will perform the duties of the Owner's Engineer and supervisethe execution of electrical construction work on site.
This includes:
- Acting as the prime point of contact with the client for the electrical construction supervision aspects of the project, including progress reporting, safety, financial recommendations, quality control, and design modifications.
- Building a trusted relationship with the Project Manager, the Client, and the Contractor's counterpart staff.
- Placing emphasis on safe construction practices (Target Zero) and on maintaining a high quality of construction - leads by example in driving safe practices on site.
- Using effective Project Management and Control Systems to report on the work progress to the Project Manager.
- Monitoring the progress of construction against the program and takes steps to ensure the program is achieved.
- Ensuring that the project quality control procedures are used for the supervision works and monitors it for improvement.
- Cooperates with audits required in accordance with the contract requirements and company internal systems.
- Reviewing and commenting on the Contractor's method statement indicating his proposed timing and phasing of various operations.
- Defining the scope of work of any sub-consultants and ensures that their employment is effectively administered.
- Identifying software and systems required for the administration of the project construction supervision.
- Reviewing and auditing any contractual claims raised by the Contractor for review and approval by the Employer.
- Contributing to the safety and build-ability reviews of the proposed designs.
- Evaluating, selecting, and adapting construction management and control techniques, procedures, and criteria to suit job tasks, and devises and implements solutions to problems encountered.
- Ensuring that the Construction Supervision team members effectively identify, manage, and report project risks.
- Attending regular site meetings to review the completion of works by the contractor against the program and agreed performance objectives.
- Mentoring junior members of the team.
Onsite employees are expected to attend a Jacobs Workplace on a full-time basis, as required by the nature of their role.
