Responsibilities:
As a Senior Manager on the Global Tax Desk, you will work on tax and transfer engagements, applying your tax knowledge of your home country tax policies to resolve specific multinational client issues.
- Contribute to client satisfaction by providing timely integrated and deeply knowledgeable global tax advice.
- Help develop and deliver timely and high-quality services and work products.
- Research complex tax issues and develop practical tax solutions.
- Thoroughly and accurately analyze information.
- Assist in the development of recommendations and implementation plans and assist in making quality decisions in complex and judgmental areas.
- Discuss complex home country tax issues with engagement teams and client management.
- Share tax planning ideas with others.
- Participate in client meetings and work within a team environment to deliver fully integrated tax services to clients.
- Keep informed of current home country tax laws and US tax developments and effectively apply tax knowledge to client situations.
- Fluently explain home country tax issues in the host country’s technical vocabulary.
- Consistently bring clients relevant insight on new developments and provide thought leadership based on in-depth knowledge of numerous tax systems, and how they relate to each other.
- Prepare and deliver presentations for clients and tax conferences.
• The equivalent of a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 8 years of relevant international tax experience or equivalent experience in business or industry; or a master’s degree and a minimum of 7 years of related work experience
• The equivalent of a bachelor’s degree, preferably with an emphasis in accounting, finance, economics or a related field (an advanced degree in tax or law is highly desirable)
• The equivalent of a Certified Public Accountant certification and/or Certified Tax Advisor certification in their respective home jurisdiction
• Host Country language proficiency is highly desirable
• Broad exposure to US international taxation
• Excellent managerial, leadership, organizational and verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated business development skills.
What we offer

The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $145,900 to $333,500. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $175,200 to $379,000. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
