As a Freight Services – IT Project Manager, you will hold sole responsibility for a defined section of service while monitoring and coordinating colleagues' efforts within the same process. Reporting to the Team Leader or Manager, you will ensure that all service processes adhere to best practices and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Your responsibilities:
  • Stay up-to-date on state-of-the-art Frontend solutions and their capabilities to provide optimal solutions for customers.
  • Design and co-create suitable Frontend solutions based on state-of-the-art practices and customer feedback.
  • Leverage your educational background in IT Project Management or practical experience in the area.
  • Understand how all services within the Logistics Services portfolio are interconnected.
  • Actively participate in improvement projects and proactively suggest enhancements to relevant processes and products.
  • Independently document activities in the respective customer process and IT applications.
  • Follow process instructions based on your best knowledge; judge process variabilities and act accordingly.
  • Act as a troubleshooter for team members and provide guidance on complex issues.
  • Conduct training sessions for internal colleagues and customers to ensure understanding of relevant processes.
Which conditions should you meet?
  • A successfully completed university degree in IT Project Management or related disciplines.
  • At least 4+ years of experience in IT Project Management or Shared Services.
  • High proficiency in using Office applications and online collaboration tools.
  • Familiarity with IT tools and the logistics IT landscape at Siemens.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and ideally German.
  • High affinity for continuous improvement methodologies.
