The Business Risk and Control Sr. Analyst (AVP) is a detail-oriented risk professional with a risk management background. The primary purpose of this role is to support and execute Operational Risk Management Programs across Global Finance such as Scenario Analysis, Operational Loss, Third Party Management, Key Risk Indicators, and Finance Fraud Risk. Additionally, this role will support MCA BAU and MCA Transformation activities. Candidates for this role will:
Have MCA / RCSA, Quality Assurance, and or internal audit experience within a moderate to large financial services organization.
Have experience supporting program development and implementation, including policies, standards, and procedures development and maturity.
Have experience supporting complex high-priority efforts, involving multiple stakeholders and competing needs, which affect the overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function/job family.
Demonstrate communication and diplomacy skills required to guide, influence, and sway others, in particular colleagues and stakeholders in other areas.
Have experience facilitating, organizing, and leading meetings.
Responsibilities:
Develop, execute, and manage the Finance Operational Risk Management programs (e.g., scenario analysis) throughout the lifecycle and assist with analysis and reporting to applicable stakeholders and committees.
Support preparation and consolidation of data/reports for Senior Management and relevant management committees.
Apply knowledge of the business, products, or services to identify potential documentation, process, or control gaps and drive effective remediation.
Maintain Finance-owned policies and procedures in adherence to those requirements, as appropriate.
Support facilitation and governance of the Manager Control Assessment (MCA, i.e. Risk & Control Self-Assessment).
Work effectively in a rapidly evolving risk and control environment with limited direction to meet high priority deadlines.
Assist with coordinating materials/responses to regulatory and/or internal audit requests.
Support Transformation efforts as needed.
Monitor and track deliverables to ensure timely completion.
Qualifications:
5-8 years of relevant experience.
Excellent people and communication skills (written and verbal) and the ability to work collaboratively and build effective cross-functional relationships.
Demonstrated judgement and critical thinking skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and follow-up
Must have ability to foster working relationships with other partners/ leaders across multiple lines of business and with support organizations including auditors, regulators, and third parties.
Must have ability to take initiative.
Excellent computer skills with a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint).
Project management and governance experience with demonstrated ability to achieve and exceed critical milestones.
Preferred:
CIA, CPA, or other risk management designation.
2-4 years of FP&A, Tax, Controller, and or Treasury experience at a medium to large financial services firm.
Prior experience executing Operational Risk Management programs.
Internal or external audit experience.
Proficient in data analytics; Excel, Access, Tableau, etc.
Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience.
