The Technical Project Leader (TPL) develops and manages technical training programs and documentation while serving as an on-staff technical communications expert. TPLs develop documentation and training material for all assigned modalities. This role is integral to our strategy to deliver programs, access, education, and competitive landscape support for our diverse multi-vendor service portfolio to our field service personnel.


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Possesses in-depth knowledge of technical communication. Uses prior experience and acquired technical expertise to communicate complex technical information to field personnel.
  • Works with management, SMEs, and end-users to develop multi-vendor training programs, ePSTs (hyperlinked service manuals), and other technical documentation.
  • Manages multiple projects at one time.
  • Uses in-depth understanding of key business drivers and quality-assurance practices to accomplish goals.
  • Uses some level of judgment and has ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters but with guidance. Uses prior experience and on-the-job training to solve straightforward tasks. Has access to technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.
  • Acquires digital media (photos and video) for use in document creation; enhances and annotates the media fordocumentation/trainingcreation.
  • Creates flow charts, logic diagrams, simple line art graphics, and screen captures for use indocumentation/trainingpackages.
  • Supports field directors and engineering staff as needed.
  • Provides informal guidance to new team members

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college desired
  • Experience indocumentation/trainingdevelopment and experience with Adobe FrameMaker
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
  • Established project management skills

Desired Characteristics

  • Previous GE HealthCare experience strongly desired
  • Experience working with medical imaging equipment
  • Preferred candidate to live in WI or within a reasonable commute to Milwaukee
  • Masters degree in Adult Education, Business, or Clinical/Medical field
  • XML/HTML development platform experience or knowledge
  • Program / project management experience
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Strong multi-tasking capabilities
  • Demonstrated planning and organizing skills
