As Senior Manager, Design & Construction, you’ll be accountable for the oversight and delivery of corporate construction projects.
The ideal candidate should:

Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Strategy
Develop and execute project plans, timelines, and budgets for multiple construction and renovation projects including obtaining local government entitlements, permits, inspections etc.
Align project goals with GWS strategy and design standards
Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to mitigate risks
Design Oversight and Management
Lead the design phase by collaborating with Architects, Engineers and other consultants, and procuring vendors on design and construction teams for both new projects and renovations
Ensure design consistency with Capital One branding and GWS workplace experience objectives
Review design documents for quality, functionality, and compliance with building codes and regulations
Integrate sustainable design and construction practices to help drive environmental goals, which includes exploring innovative technologies and materials to enhance efficiency, productivity and performance
Oversee ad-hoc projects such as video conferencing, signage replacement, major furniture reconfigurations and infrastructure repairs, landscaping, “green” projects, etc.
Construction Management / Budget & Cost Control
Oversee the construction phase, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget
Monitor construction progress and partner to resolve issues effectively
Develop and manage project budgets with great discipline and accountability
Ensure compliance with Capital One procurement policies and financial controls
Stakeholder Coordination & Project Closeout
Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as GWS Amenities team, Transactions, Facilities Operations, Tech, Regional Portfolio, etc.
Communicate project status, metrics, milestones and risks to GWS Regional leadership in a timely manner
Prepare correspondence, reports and decks for all levels, including GWS and Capital One executive leadership, for awareness and influence when necessary
Partner with other internal departments within Capital One such as Procurement, Legal, Risk, etc
Oversee project closeout, including final inspections, punch list resolution, and documentation, as to ensure a smooth transition to business as usual operations
Basic Qualifications:
At least 10 years of experience in Construction Project Management in a Corporate, Real Estate Services, or Commercial Developer environment
At least 5 years of experience in Managing a team(s) of Construction Project Managers
At least 10 years of experience in a supervisory role
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering or equivalent
