About this opportunity

  • This key position will be a part of the Global Product FP&A Organization and is responsible for partnerning with the product organization, creating go to market strategy, conducting deep dive analytics and reporting on product performance
  • This individual is expected to be customer focused, analytically savvy, possess strong data visualization and Power BI skills in addition to being a cross functional team player.
  • This position requires the ability to navigate complex datamarts, build processes and scale decision reports creating information flow for timely and effective decisions. Additionally, this person is responsible for defining and standardizing the Product KPIs across regions and building a vision for Product data models.
  • Responsibilities also include in the development of effective, strong relationships with key stakeholders (Sales, Product, Marketing, Finance and Business Intelligence/IT teams)

In this role, you will…

  • Partner with the Sr. Product leadership, provide thought leadership and advice on various decisions related to product launch and commercialization
  • Create financial forecasts, operating models and decisions frameworks neccessary to create goals and latest estimates
  • Own and drive the annual operating plan and LRS plans end to end, including cost deep dives and contribution margin analysis
  • Use data, analytics and metrics to influence product roadmaps and reporting initiatives Execute against the vision for standardizing metrics, definitions, and reporting frameworks across Align analytics Orgs.
  • Create ongoing reports to assess Align’s monthly and quarterly business performance metrics that includes relevant and insightful analysis and commentary.
  • Partner with Product and PM leads to identify new reporting and data requirements, document requirements, coordinate with engineering teams to reduce gaps in reporting capabilities.
  • Evolve as the subject matter of expert for all things data related for the Global Product team. Coach and guide regional reporting teammates in consistent usage of data, metrics and KPI’s
  • Think out of the box in providing recommendations to improve existing reporting toolkit, Scale self-serve capabilities across the Org.
  • Be Agile in providing ad hoc analyses on as needed basis to support Corp Initiatives.
  • Create presentations to be used in a variety of forums, and present to FP&A, Global Product, Marketing and senior management.
  • Be a self-starter with the ability to explain complex technical jargon in simple layman terms.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems or Statistics or similar related fields. MBA strongly preferred.
  • 12+ years with a combination of experience in Financial Planning, Business Analytics, business performance reporting required
  • 3+ years of experience supporting Product, Marketing and/or Finance
  • Strong quantitative analysis and data mining skills e.g. SQL and Excel required.
  • Experience and strength in identifying insights from data and formulating a story required.
  • Experience in creating business dashboards and reports using PowerBI a key requirement.
  • Excellent communication skills to clearly present business and technical issues, ideas, and recommendations in verbal, written, and presentation formats.
  • R, Python and other advanced machine learning skills strongly preferred
