Key Responsibilities
- Meeting budgeted hours, planned schedule, and agreed-upon level of quality on assigned project work
- Communicating with the project manager on required changes to budget, schedule, or quality level on assigned project work
- Communicating with the project manager on progress on assigned project work
- Identifying opportunities for electrical work-process and design-tool improvements
- Developing work processes and tools that improve UOP’s products and efficiency
- Keeping up-to-date with current technology developments in the electrical area
- Interfacing with customer to determine project electrical requirements
- Providing technical support for proposals based on direction of manager
- Supporting the Technical Manager in his support of the development and maintenance of outside supplier relationships
- Producing a complete definition of electrical requirements incorporating applicable code and customer requirements
- Developing P&IDs related to electrical
- Preparing electrical requirement documents for the designer, fabricator, and installer
- Prepare preliminary Design information such as electrical document index, block diagram and single line diagram
- Performing electrical detailed design with design engineering company
- Preparing electrical specifications and requisitions
- Electrical, or Chemical Engineering degree required. Might consider technical certification + relevant experience for the right person.
- 6~10years experience with electrical Detail Engineering and construction
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills are needed to be successful
- Ability to travel both domestically and internationally – (up to 6 weeks). Travel is typically less than a week at a time, 10% total.
- 10 + years experience is preferred
- Oil / refinery orpetrochemical industry experience is preferred, but will consider power /energy, food, or other chemical processing experience
