Primary job responsibilities include:
- Understanding of the business context of our clients at the level appropriate to junior position
- Developing code in R or Python in various development tools, incl. low-code solutions such as Dataiku
- Working on exploratory data analysis, incl. understanding the meaning of data, their appropriate transformations into model-ready format, creating appropriate statistics and plots etc.
- Developing statistical, machine learning, forecasting and optimization model, incl. model training, selection and evaluation given the objective functions of the given project
- If needed, working on root cause analyses, hypotheses testing and applying various statistical tests
- If needed, developing unit tests, functional tests, interactive applications in frameworks such as shiny in R and performing other code engineering types of tasks
- If needed, working with data repositories that are either file-based (S3, Azure blob) or SQL-based (Oracle, Redshift) to support data engineering component of the projects
- If needed, working with large language models such as GPT through our internal APIs (prompt engineering, RAG etc.)
- Staying up to date with the most recent development in related technology, not limited to R and Python
- Working with multiple collaboration DevOps tool such as Jira, git and Confluence
Qualifications and Education Minimum Requirement:
- Studying Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Physics, Economics or other related field. Master and PhD students preferred.

- Passion for advanced analytics / data science / statistics / machine learning / AI and being able to write code in R or Python
- Problem-solving skills, being able to ask the right questions and make the right recommendations for a given problem
- Being able to work in a team, use various collaboration tools and communicate well
Desired Aspirations Towards Following Experience and Skills:
- Advanced knowledge of Python is a major advantage
- The ability to formulate algorithms and statistical models, analyze them, and implement in appropriate tools and platforms
- Knowledge in one or more of the following areas: mathematical analysis and modeling, probability, stochastic processes, econometrics, machine learning, optimization, simulation.
- Broad communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to make presentations for business.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to work with incomplete or imperfect data, including ability to interpret and use the analytics results within the real business context.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a globally dispersed team.
