Partners with members of the Benefits team and external vendors to complete benefits-related work. Compensation: Support the service delivery of Qualcomm’s compensation programs. S/He will execute on the compensation and rewards proposals to all employees aligned with compensation philosophy. This role will conduct market pricing, interpret results and propose compensation based on internal parity. This role will also assist in the escalation process of compensation issues and ensure that compensation activities are administered in a timely fashion. This role reports into the Total Rewards lead in People Solutions and Services team with a strong partnership with the Compensation Community of Practice

Benefits:

  • Applies knowledge of benefits principles, processes, and best practices to provide support for programs related to employee benefits (e.g., Medical/Dental/Vision Plans, Retirement Plan, Vacation, Sick Leave, etc.) with some supervision.

  • Provides support for existing benefits programs and identifies way to streamline efficiencies.

  • Collaborates and builds rapport with benefits team members, external vendors, and other internal functional areas to complete work.

  • Provides support for external vendor related activities (e.g., new vendor implementation, vendor audits, vendor renewals, vendor market searches, contract negotiations and amendments as well as non-disclosure, quarterly review of vendor access, onsite vendor personnel, etc.).

  • Works cross-functionally with Procurement, Finance, Tax, and Internal Audit teams to ensure benefits programs are accurately reported and compliant with all applicable laws and regulations.

  • Analyzes data to make recommendations and assist in making decisions regarding benefits-related topics and projects.

  • Writes and organizes documentation for benefits-related employee inquiries, decisions, and/or projects with some supervision.

Compensation:

  • Conduct salary analysis and ad-hoc compensation studies, including benchmarking and internal parity analysis, including new hires, transfers, and retention offers and share outcomes of the analysis and findings

  • Interpreting and explaining benchmarking results and employee pay based on position within range and internal parity based on experience

  • Evaluate job based on employee’s roles/responsibilities and ensure pay is appropriate

  • Help field employee inquiries, provide coaching/counseling on compensation, and respond to escalated compensation issues

  • Assist with end to end market benchmarking, including survey submissions to annual and ad-hoc surveys, managing survey data, analyzing survey results, market pricing by role, and managing impacts to midpoints to the annual comp cycle

  • Support the process of conducting bi-annual job code audits to ensure that employees are in the correct job codes

  • Collaborate with other team members to conduct ad-hoc salary analysis as requested by the business

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of compensation, benefits, and/or HR-related work experience.

Associate's degree and 4+ years of compensation, benefits, and/or HR-related work experience.

High School Diploma or equivalent and 6+ years of compensation, benefits, and/or HR-related work experience.
