What You’ll Do:
Collaborate with and across Agile teams to design, develop, itdetest, implement, and support technical solutions in full-stack development tools and technologies
Lead a team of developers with deep experience in machine learning, distributed microservices, and full stack systems
Utilize programming languages like SQL, Python and tools like databricks, iceberg, presto, graphql and Cloud based data technologies
Share your passion for staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies, participating in internal & external technology communities, and mentoring other members of the engineering community
Collaborate with data product managers, and deliver robust cloud-based solutions that drive powerful data experiences
Develop unit testing guidelines and conduct reviews with other team members to make sure your code is rigorously designed, elegantly coded, and effectively tuned for performance
Mentor and develop engineering associates to help scale data product development and consumption efforts across the Finance organization.
Develop relationships with key stakeholders, peers in our Enterprise Architecture and Data engineering teams.
Make and document key modeling principles and provide guidance to help engineering teams establish and design to target.
Review delivery team designs and assess alignment with target architecture, data strategy and relevant policies
Own design and data governance decisions in partnership with the Divisional Chief Architect and peer architects.
Develop standards for publishing, modeling and protecting data
Own and prioritize the long-term (12-18 months) Data Product delivery roadmap to deliver on business outcomes, working closely with a cross-functional team to ensure that all the right resources are aligned to ensure that and your team will be successful
Understand how ontology and data models fits into the larger ecosystem, anticipating impacts from changes in other parts of the business
Work closely with tech leadership and architecture to understand the tradeoffs of technical decisions and how they impact Ontology and Data modeling as well as consumers
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree
At least 8 years of experience in application development (Internship experience does not apply)
At least 2 years of experience in big data technologies
At least 1 year experience with cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's Degree
9+ years of experience in application development including Python, SQL, Scala, or Java
4+ years of experience with a public cloud (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)
5+ years experience with Distributed data/computing tools (Hadoop, Hive, EMR, Kafka, Spark)
4+ year experience working on real-time data and streaming applications
4+ years of data warehousing experience (Redshift or Snowflake)
4+ years of experience with UNIX/Linux including basic commands and shell scripting
2+ years of devops experience
2+ years of experience with graphQL experience
2+ years of experience with Agile engineering practices
