Application Developer – DevOps, IBM Corporation, Coppell, TX: Orchestrate seamless onboarding of applications into Dynatrace, spanning SaaS, OnPrem, and AWS 2.0 environments. Design, develop, execute, and analyze performance tests for complex applications and systems. Install, administer, monitor, and troubleshoot Apache Web server on UNIX, Linux, and AIX. Work on AWS (Storage, Application Services, Deployment, and Management) and manage servers on AWS platform instances. Onboard the applications for monitoring performance, providing metrics, and maintaining information to application teams. Plan and conduct project kickoff meetings to discuss applications’ architecture, technologies used, and monitoring requirements. Write Scripts for the day-to-day systems maintenance, such as installing patches and fixes, space monitoring, file systems maintenance, performance monitoring, and tuning. Use Dynatrace to make API calls to the monitored AWS services to learn about their instances, tags. Work with application owners and vendors to resolve issues. Understand project deliverables, architecture, core/critical functionality, interfaces, dataflow, integration, SLAs to collaborate on identifying an overall monitoring design requirement and deliverables. Gather customer application data and diagrams, leverage expertise in recommending baseline thresholds. Work with application teams to implement Lambda and Nginx onboarding to Dynatrace with various tools and technologies. Implement and configure AppDynamics, Dynatrace, and Splunk tools for various Java, .Net, node.js, and PHP applications. Work on User Experience Management (UEM) configurations in all environments, lower and prod. Create AWS Lambda tags Nginx cluster ID tags and create alerts according to the application team request. Perform troubleshooting sessions with Application teams. Perform log monitoring and view information such as the total traffic of the network, the CPU usage of hosts, the response time of processes, and more. Create Knowledge Base (KB) articles for documenting the process. Utilize: AppDynamics, Catchpoint, Splunk, CA Application Performance Management (CAAPM), Dynatrace and AWS. Required: Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or related (employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree plus five (5) years of progressive experience in lieu of a Master’s degree) and one (1) year of experience as a Software Engineer or related. One (1) year of experience must include utilizing AppDynamics, Catchpoint, Splunk, CA Application Performance Management (CAAPM), Dynatrace and AWS.$139,464 per year. Full time. V139.
