Senior Software Engineer

Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field plus 5 years of experience in software engineering or related experience; Master’s degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field plus 2 years of experience in software engineering or related experience.

Working on relational databases like Big Query, DB2 and Teradata; Developing and maintaining robust SOAP CICS webservices to be consumed by eCommerce applications and implement webservices using IBM Data power devices; Architect designing and implementing scalable & highly performing Mainframe batch applications using JCL, COBOL and Easytrieve handling millions of records; Efficiently integrating with third party vendors to share files based on HIPAA compliance and medical standards through SFTP, AS2 and EDI secure transmission protocols; Developing, maintaining, and managing advanced reporting, analytics, dashboards using mobius and Infopac reports; Mainframe utilities like Fileaid, Librarian, SPUFI, Sort utilities SYNCSORT, DFSORT, Abendaid and Expeditor; Reducing MIPS consumption by implementing efficient solutions using SORT, COBOL and Job Control Language to process huge amount of data to save annual Mainframe cost; Performance tuning using DB2 Explain, DB2 SQL Performance Analyzer to improve query response times & application operations by tuning the JCL, COBOL programs and SQL Queries for better application performance; Developing DB2 Stored procedures and CICS webservices used by the front-end Angular application and POS team to get & update the data from the back end DB2 tables; Using DB2 Unload & Load utilities to refresh the required data for the application testing; and Using CA7 and Control M scheduling tool for Mainframe to simplify the orchestration of mainframe application workflows and removing any manual effort to manage associated quality assurance, recovery activities and delivering better efficiency.
