Your responsibilities will include:

  • Contribute to technical activities for developing and enhancing technologies.
  • Assist in detailed engineering assessments of novel technology concepts.
  • Collaborate on designing and executing experimental plans to gather data for informed decision-making.
  • Foster technology integration and knowledge transfer within the designated domain.
  • Embrace and apply engineering principles, theories, and practices.
  • Work with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop new technologies for refining existing manufacturing capabilities.
  • Apply problem-solving methodologies and best practices to improve products and processes.
  • Undertake supervised assignments, progressively handling more complex tasks.
  • Adapt and work in ambiguous situations with guidance and mentorship.
  • Contribute to designing and implementing manufacturing processes for enhanced capabilities and efficiencies.
  • Support in conveying technical updates to stakeholders.
  • Provide guidance and support to technicians and entry-level engineers.
  • Adhere to Quality Management System requirements and company values.
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety policies, promptly reporting any unsafe working conditions.
  • Be available for occasional travel as necessary.
  • Assist in other duties as needed.

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field required
  • 2-3 years of relevant work experience
  • Proficiency in CAD Software such as SolidWorks.
  • Excellent documentation skills and 2D drawings.
  • Experience in process design/development and fixture design for manufacturability
  • Experience in process validation, process FMEA, and project management
  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles
  • Strong root cause analysis skills
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration abilities
  • Solid knowledge of experimental design and statistical analysis


Preferred qualifications:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering field
  • Work experience in the medical device industry will be an asset, especially injection molding, designing and manufacturing of Steerable Sheaths, Catheters, Dilators and/or related other medical device manufacturing.
  • SolidWorks Certifications (CSWP)
  • Experience with geometrical dimensioning & tolerancing, tolerance stack-up analysis, creating and interpreting engineering drawings.
