• Research to enable the fabrication of novel, state-of-the-art devices for coherent communications, quantum networking, and photonic computing,
• Present research findings through papers and oral presentations both within the organization and to the external research community,
• Share responsibility for overseeing the maintenance and operation of nano-fabrication equipment and facilities.

Your skills and experience:

• A PhD in Engineering, Physics, or related field,
• Nano-fabrication expertise, including process development,
• Strong record of disruptive research in academia and/or industry including scientific/technical publications and/or patents,
• Ability to define and pursue a research program in synergy with larger team.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal skills.

It would be nice if you also have experience with:

• Design of manufacturable photonic devices,
• Fabrication processes for advanced 2.5D semiconductor integration technologies including chip stacking, flip-chip bonding, etc.,
• Experience in transferring processes from research to foundry production
