Responsibilities
- Support the client in the development and implementation of health & safety policies, procedures & processes.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to Program team to verify occupational HSE regulations and ensure policies, process & procedures are understood and implemented
- Attend Client contractor preconstruction kick-off and progress meetings to discuss overall safety requirements of the Contractor as it relates to the Client’s safety requirements.
- Review contractor’s HSE submittals/programs as they pertain to client’s rules, policies, standard details, and specifications.
- Regularly observe and verify client contractor’s implementation of these plans and provide reports to the program management team.
Here's what you'll need
- Professional HSE certification and/or bachelor’s degree in safety, industrial hygiene, engineering, or related field
- 10+ years of demonstrated construction experience in managing subcontractors in the heavy Civil, Industrial or Buildings construction sector’s
- Completed OSHA’s 30-hour Construction Training course in the previous 5 years
- Experience with managing and conducting safety compliance and training
- Working knowledge in applicable regulatory compliance, as well as all federal, state and local agencies requirements
- Display strong leadership, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Teams, Excel, Outlook and Power Point
- Valid driver’s license, good driving record with reliable transportation and the ability to drive to active construction projects on a regular basis.
- Willing and able to relocate to the US Virgin Islands of St. Croix or St. Thomas - relocation will be offered
