** This position is outside of the Boston Scientific 2025 Graduate Program and successful candidate to start as soon as possible.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work within the Operational Excellence team, in conjunction with production areas and support teams, to drive continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean, Line Optimization, Variation Tracking, Born Lean, 5S, CI, Standard Work, Lean Business Process (LBP), and other Lean-related programs.
  • Train, coach and mentor employees on Lean Manufacturing systems and tools.
  • Support the Work Content of the manufacturing process (time studies and Work Content Graph)
  • Support Production Supervisor on Capacity Modelling and Planning.
  • Enhance and Improve the Lean culture onsite.
  • Lead and facilitate Line Optimisation Initiatives.
  • Develop creative and innovative solutions to diverse business problems.
  • Provide regular sitewide communication of Operational Excellence metrics.
  • Collaborate with senior industrial engineers, production, NPI, and support functions on Layout design, drawing, and governance.
  • Act as a change agent in driving innovation and re-engineering new and existing processes.

Job Scope

  • Degree level 8 qualified in a STEM discipline or equivalent education.
  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma tools and methodologies is an advantage.
  • Knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes cGMP, industry regulations, and process development.
  • Strong analytical skills and systematic problem-solving skills with the ability to develop data analytics and presentation skills.
  • Plans, organizes, and prioritizes own daily work routine to meet established schedule.
  • Demonstrates a “go and see” bias.
  • Works under general direction regarding the progress of projects and special assignments. May seek guidance in resolving problems, interpretating established policies, procedures and practices. Work is reviewed for soundness of judgment.
  • Self-confident with the ability to promote a new way of thinking.
  • Well-developed organisational and interpersonal skills.
  • Positive Team player.
  • May lead a project team of small to moderate scope. Influence exerted at peer level and occasionally at first levels of management.
  • Supports continuous improvement culture and Lean Six Sigma tools and methodologies sitewide. Contributes to the completion of departmental projects and goals.
  • Provides guidance to less experienced staff.
