What you need to know about the role

Job Description:

You will execute some mission-critical high-value programs in the Next Gen SDK​ & APIs, agentic AI dev tools area, and manage multiple cross functional dependencies to ensure that critical timelines across multiple projects meet partner commitments.

Your day-to-day

In your day-to-day, you will:

  • Organize and lead planning activities resulting in the creation of a release/program roadmap. Ensure all teams align with enterprise planning expectations.

  • Play a pivotal role in driving and managing large, complex programs over a finite period of time in order to achieve specific business goals and key results. Ensure the timely delivery of business value and the efficient use of organizational resources.

  • Partner with Business and Technology leadership to establish a solid understanding of the vision, purpose and expected business benefits of a program. Ensure measurable KPIs are defined and aligned to company goals and objectives.

  • Manage the program-level decomposition of work across multiple delivery teams. Work across organizational boundaries to define program interdependencies and release plans.

  • Manage the technical interface and communication with a diverse set of partner teams across PayPal

  • Partner closely with Product Owners, Architects, Product Development, Platform, Product Marketing, Sales, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Customer Success, Analytics, Data Science, Product Policy, Infosec, Infrastructure, Media and Comms, Go to Market Teams to execute and deliver programs aligning to product vision and program goals, objectives and timelines.

  • Ensure appropriate cross functional product family resources are engaged and help define creative solutions to address resourcing challenges.

  • Drive resolution of program-level issues leveraging scrum-of-scrums as needed. Facilitate executive-level escalations and program-level change management.

  • Monitor health of program delivery. Track program-level status, risks, issues and dependencies. Proactively address delivery team impediments. Resolve program-level roadblocks to enable successful program execution.

  • Manage program-level communications ensuring stakeholders are informed of roadmap changes, release plans and delivery status. Lead program-level reviews with delivery teams, stakeholders and executive management as required.

  • Drive the integration and adoption of agile delivery practices across delivery teams. Facilitate program retrospectives to identify improvement opportunities. Evangelize and integrate desired changes in order to enable continuous improvement.

  • Lead by example. Actively coach Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and Delivery teams in order to promote successful adoption of agile practices. Cover key management roles as needed to ensure the success of program delivery efforts.

What you need to bring

  • Minimum 6 years in program management

  • Bachelors degree in a technical field

  • Prior background in leading programs in application/system integrations and payments will be a plus

  • Experience organizing multiple teams delivering on software/product development initiatives. Agile lifecycle management experience preferred.

  • A track record of managing complex development programs to deliver technical solutions and achieve business results, positively impacting the customer experience.

  • Ability to develop effective, matrixed, cross-organization relationships, collaboration and communication across business and technology stakeholders. Experience collaborating with teams and stakeholders across multiple geographies preferred.

  • A strong technical acumen and strong voice for the customer across the program delivery lifecycle.

  • Extensive knowledge of project management process, project management software tools, templates and management techniques.

  • Success in developing program/project level artifacts to support a major software implementation program with concurrent releases.

  • Exceptional problem solving and negotiation skills, with the ability to work across organizational boundaries to drive closure of complex delivery challenges

  • Strong business acumen and technical background, with the ability to quickly understand and communicate technical concepts and challenges across wide-ranging audiences

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with professional confidence and credibility to effectively engage and interact with senior and executive management

  • Organizational and analytical skills with the ability to move quickly from insight to action

  • Collaboration skills, self-starter, and self-sufficientindividual

  • The ability to work in a dynamic fast-pacedenvironment and canmotivate, mentor, and coach other team members

  • Experience with tools like JIRA/ServiceNow, Confluence, Tableau, Power BI, MS Office,Smartsheets/Clarizen,Collaboration tools (Slack, Skype, Teams etc.)
