As a SAP Cloud ALM DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our Cloud Native Micro Service Solution.
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations and events of SAP Cloud ALM services. From incident management to resource consumption management, change management, and service level management, you will be the go-to person for keeping our services running smoothly.
But that's not all! You will also collaborate closely with microservice engineers to ensure best DevOps experience.
You will be working together with Application Engineers, Product Management, HANA Cloud Experts, SAP BTP cloud service providers, DwC service-mesh providers, and other stakeholders to work on pro-active solutions, DevOps Automations and collaboration during Issue Managment.
What You'll Do
- Take on the role of a SAP Cloud ALM DevOps Engineer in the EMEA time zone, where you will embark with the team on an exciting journey to ensure the reliability and exceptional performance of SAP Cloud ALM. .
- As the guardian of SAP Cloud ALM, you will orchestrate the daily operations and events, including incident management, resource consumption management, change management, and service level management.
- Collaborate closely with different organisations to ensure work on pro-active solutions, automations of DevOps Topics and Community Management for Best Practises, Tooling and Processes.
- Join forces with other MoDs in the APJ region to provide 5x16 DevOps support. You and your team will be the backbone of support, ensuring seamless operations.
- Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and learning within SAP Cloud ALM project teams. As a pioneer of service reliability engineering, you will inspire and guide teams to embrace new ideas and practices that elevate the quality of our services.

What You'll Bring
- You have at least 4 years of experience in cloud operation, DevOps, or similar roles, working with cloud-based SaaS products and services.
- You have experience in analyzing issues for cloud services with tools such as Dynatrace, Kibana or making your own analysis in Grafana;
- You have a mindset of cloud application design principles and cloud application operation experience.
- You have strong technical skills in various areas such as system administration, networking, security, automation, monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
- You have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
- You have a customer-centric mindset, with the ability to understand and anticipate customer needs and expectations.
- You have a growth mindset, with the ability to learn from failures, embrace feedback, and seek new challenges.
- It will be a plus if you have technical understanding of SAP BTP CloudFoundry platform, know the concept in BTP, i.e. Global Account/Subaccount/Space/Entitlement, etc. understanding of SAP BTP Kyma (Kubernetes + Istio).
- It will be a plus if you have the experience in HANA Cloud, monitor, user management, performance monitor, etc.
