We are looking for an engineer with experience driving improvements to advanced DDR and LPDDR technologies and the systems built using them to balance performance, power, quality, and reliability. HBM experience is a plus.
What you will be doing:
You will analyze future DDR/LPDDR/HBM technologies to map trends in performance, power, defectivity, and margins relative to Nvidia product segment goals. You will work with memory system architects and external vendors to ensure that the memory technologies and our product designs are on track to deliver high quality and reliability from the ground up.
This means architecting quality, reliability, and availability-based features that manage the implications of high power density, increasing temperature requirements, tighter frequency or voltage margining, and new material and manufacturing variations.
This also means expertise in influencing vendor quality strategy and supplementing it with in-house test and qualification strategy.
What we are looking for:
Bachelor's degree (BS) or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering (EE), Computer Engineering (CE), Computer Science (CS), Systems Engineering, or a related field with 8+ years of demonstrated ability, or a Master's degree (MS) with 6+ years of proven track record in a related hardware engineering role.
Deep understanding of memory sub-systems as used in high-performance computing, including DDR/5/6, LPDDR4/5/6, and HBM 3/4.
History of architecting system features and architecting test and manufacturing strategies for highest quality memory.
Ability to analyze functional or test data to define short-term workarounds and long-term fixes.
BS/MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering
