About the role:

Assists in the development and analysis of products, materials, processes, or equipment. Under direct supervision/guidance, compiles, analyzes, and reports operational, test, and research data to establish performance standards for newly designed or modified products, processes, or materials.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Undertakes and successfully completes simple or basic project/product development tasks to include any of the following: writing and/or verifying specifications; maintaining product/process documentation; testing processes, equipment, raw materials, and product; and validating equipment and processes.
  • May assist in inventing/creating concepts and designs/approaches for new products/processes/test methods.
  • Designs, procures, and fabricates simple tooling and fixtures.
  • Designs and coordinates rudimentary engineering tests and experiments.
  • Applies the Technical Development Process (TDP)/Product Development Process (PDP) methodologies.
  • Prepares standard reports/documentation to communicate results to technical community.
  • Completes basic tasks on engineering documentation.
  • Trains technicians/operators on new processes and/or test procedures.
  • Identifies areas for improvement, suggests solutions, and submits idea records.

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering
  • Prior internship experience with Boston Scientific
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization
  • 0-1 years of prior experience (or similar through internships/co-ops) in Research and Development
  • Understanding of common balloon material properties, balloon catheter design requirements, and testing methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with medical device industry standards
  • Strong communications and time management abilities
  • Competency with induction balloon molding technology

Maximum Salary: $ 110500

Compensation fornon-exempt (hourly), non-sales rolesmay also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
