Qualifications

​​· Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python· Proven experience in building and shipping production-quality internet-scale web-applications, leveraging one or more of the following technologies: SQL Server, Postgres, MongoDB,, Cassandra, Redis.· Familiarity with concurrent/multi-threaded programming, good understanding of algorithms and distributed systems.​

Preferred/Additional Qualifications

•Experience contributing to any existing OSS like PostgreSQL/ MongoDB /Cassandra is a huge plus.•Experience developing with or building Postgres extensions is highly desirable.•Experience writing performance benchmarks for C# / .NET or Java code, proven experience with tuning systems for critical-path performance improvements.

•Work closely with the team to plan, execute and ship new features and products.•Guide partnerships withappropriate stakeholdersto engage on requirements,and release schedules.Strong communication•Deep customer empathy; driving customer interactions and support engagements.•Experience designing, building,and maintaining internet-scale distributed systems•Deal with ambiguity and goabove and beyondto understand intricate details of products•Coach and mentor other engineers•Curiosity and desire to experiment with, invent and learn distributed database technologies
