Description
The successful candidate will be researching, designing, and implementing privacy-preserving Generative AI technologies for security critical missions deployed to billion devices at scale. You will design AI solutions built with privacy-preserving technologies, while ensuring feasibility and scalability. This will require making tradeoffs between memory, power, and latency. You will have significant experience in designing scalable systems for real-world problems.
Minimum Qualifications
  • PhD or Master degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Applied Mathematics, or similar; or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of expertise within AI & Machine Learning systems
  • Strong expertise in Retrieval Augmented Generation, Knowledge Graphs, Search and Retrieval with an understanding of privacy-preserving technologies like homomorphic encryption, differential privacy, secure multi-party computation and federated learning.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to distill product experiences into concrete problem definitions.
  • Experience designing efficient secure protocols
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas at a variety of abstractions
Pay & Benefits
  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $175,800 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Note: Apple benefit, compensation and employee stock programs are subject to eligibility requirements and other terms of the applicable plan or program.
